The Bizarre and Beautiful World of De La Rue Greeting Cards
Thomas De La Rue Greeting Cards in no particular order.
This Gallery features the amazing cards by De La Rue with unique artwork such as turkeys putting a human into the oven on a spit, to rats feasting on a cat for Christmas dinner to men on the moon to fair maidens. Then there are fairies, gnomes and other creatures and more traditional artwork including birds and nudes.
De La Rue numbered almost every card either with the signature logo on the back or the letters DLR and No. on the front. Very few Thomas De La Rue cards were not numbered and each Series # usually contained 3 to 5 similar images with some up to 8. Many of these cards only measure about 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches. 99% of the cards are one sided and only three or four cards actually unfold to open. The very last 12 cards are the rarest card I have that is actually boxed. The Cards are from my Personal Card Collection which I've been collecting for decades and continue to do so.
